Courage is more than bravery.  Bravery is ignorance to the danger one faces with one’s own pride.  Courage recognizes the danger but continues on in spite of risk.  Right now in America we need an awakening of courage more than anything else.  The courage to turn to alternative technologies and energies.  The courage to give the power of deciding back to the people.  The courage to trust one and another to do the right thing.

Our first moments of the day set the precedence for the mood of the rest of our waking hours. When you wake up plan a few moments for meditation. If you are more familiar with meditating, then this can be done within your commute to your daily responsibilities. Starting your day from a peaceful place can offer the ability to transform your daily life.

Solar Flare

The sun is a source of power and energy. It has been used through history in several religious traditions. Today, go out in the sun, find a peaceful space and give yourself 15 minutes for a daylight meditation. Most people concentrate on learning meditation in the dark. Meditation can take place in a brightly light space.

Envision the sun as the cleansing light. Feel as it purifies your body on a cellular level. Take in the vitamins and necessary nutrients this great life sources generously gives.

The Spectacle

We all have moments where someone tries to catch us off guard or embarrass us. Instead of jumping into anger go into the place where you find inner peace. Take a deep breath. This will give you a longer, more enjoyable life. Remember the best revenge is leading a good life.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they wish they could leave a large trust fund to care for those they leave behind. This is occasionally possible; however, not likely. People get caught up in number figures and forget the tangible skills. Teaching someone a skilled trade or a valuable talent can be worth more in the long run. Instead of finding yourself lost and praying for material goods, share your knowledge with those you wish to care for.

Your open mind is more valuable than an endless bank account.
